Racer Feature: Bryant Goldstone
At Stainless Diesel, we’ve built our reputation on dominating the diesel performance world. But as any true gear head knows, the pursuit of speed isn't limited by the fuel in your tank. This year at the 2025 PRI Show, we caught up with legendary racer Bryant Goldstone to talk about his 40-year racing journey and what's next.
A Legacy Built on the Long Haul
Bryant is no stranger to the unique challenges of racing. While some cars are built for a single pass, Bryant’s cars are built for endurance. This works out perfectly for his love of drag-and-drive style racing… Goldstone's favorite way to test the limits of his builds.
"It’s a five day deal," Bryant explains. "Usually 600 to 1,400 miles of driving. You drag race, you drive to the next track, and then you race again.".
It’s a grueling format that requires a perfect balance of power and reliability. Bryant has been perfecting his craft for decades, famously owning his AMC Javelin for 40 years.

The Corvette
To stay at the front of the pack, Bryant realized he needed a platform that was lighter and more aerodynamically advanced than his previous street car builds. Enter his latest build: a custom 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Promod designed specifically to push the limits of what’s possible on a street legal tire.
Under the hood of his Vette, you’ll find a pair of Stainless Diesel 98mm turbos and a 540 cubic inch motor. Yes, you read that correctly, Stainless Diesel Turbos in a Corvette. While our roots are based in the diesel world, Bryant recognized the potential for our turbo technology to cross over into the gas market.
"I’ve known Stainless Diesel for 10 or 12 years," Bryant says. "We’ve had such great success in just a few runs, now we’re ready to set records.".

Chasing the 5-Second Average
Bryant isn't just looking for a personal best; he’s looking for a world record. His goal for 2026 is "5 at 250” averaging a 5-second quarter mile pass at 250 mph every single day of a grueling five day event.
His schedule is packed with the go-to events of the drag-and-drive world:
-
Sick Week (Florida): The first major test for the new Corvette and its Stainless Diesel setup.
-
Hot Rod Drag Week (September): The "premier" race where he hopes to officially cement his legacy with the first-ever 5-second average.
-
The Michigan Mile: Where he plans to bring out his 3,900lb Chevelle to chase a 7.50-second pass.
Why Stainless Diesel?
For Bryant, the partnership with Stainless Diesel was about more than just parts; it was about innovation. As we expand our reach into the gas turbo market, working with a racer of Bryant’s caliber, and experience, allows us to prove that our engineering holds up under the most extreme conditions imaginable.
"Everyone is racing to be the first to run 5s at 250 for an average," Bryant said.. "We want to be the first to do it every day.".

At Stainless Diesel, we couldn't be more excited to be a part of that journey. Stay tuned as we follow Bryant and his Corvette through the 2026 season, it’s going to be a fast one.
