Installing a new turbo or putting together a fresh build? Boost leak testing the setup is one of the best ways to keep your turbo happy. Simply pressurize the system and correct any leaks you may find. Boost leaks are one of the primary contributors to turbo failures and you might not always know that you have one. You can still reach the same overall/peak boost but the turbo has to work harder to achieve it resulting in elevated shaft speeds and a higher chance of premature bearing failure.
